Prof Michael Bridger :: Dean

Prior to joining SAE, Professor Bridger held various positions at Middlesex University, England, including Head of School of Music and Electronic Arts and Deputy Dean. He was closely involved with academic development across the university and was seconded to undertake quality assurance audits of several universities for the UK's Higher Education Quality Council.

He studied music at Manchester University and the Royal Manchester College of Music, followed by postgraduate study in electronic music at the University of Wales and Keele University. His PhD project investigated various aspects of electronic music and in 1996 he was awarded a professorship. His main current research interest is in the area of cyberaesthetics, looking into theories about communication and response in new electronic media.

He has wide experience of international education in the fields of music, performing arts, media and work-based learning; he has also been involved in academic publication in editorial and advisory capacities.


Mr Willi Wöber ::  Operational Manager & Postgraduate Programme Administrator

Willi Woeber hails from Vienna, Austria. He studied photography before joining SAE Vienna where he qualified as a multimedia producer. Following the completion of his initial qualifications, he worked for a new media agency and as a freelance web programmer. He spent time completing further study and working in London and Zurich before returning to Vienna in 2002.

He has worked as a degree program coordinator for a number of years and has completed his own postgraduate studies with SAE's Graduate College (now SAE Online). His main research interests are media theory and the integration of new media into everyday processes.

 

I enjoyed the course very much! Learned a lot, and it forced me to use knowledge I already had, but never 'needed' to use!
