SAE Institute's Master of Arts in Creative Media Practice (MACMP) is now fully integrated into SAEOnLine's post graduate programmes.
The Masters, validated by Middlesex University England, is a continuing professional development and research program specific to the creative media industries. It is focussed on professional creative media activity, and its procedure for assigning recognition and accreditation for professional experience. The program facilitates creative research and professional development, and encourages students to define, refine and enhance their creative and technological skills and abilities.
Chris Hambly, SAEOnLine's Community Manager states: "The International Graduate College was fundamental in qualifying people from all over the world with an MA, it's an exciting prospect to take this unique successful Masters qualification and bolster the academic community aspects by re-launching it as part of SAEOnLine. It makes sense on a variety of levels to offer a singular brand for our online courses from beginner through to post-graduate, it's also planting the seeds for significant future development."
Speaking about the MACMP graduate Sebastian Geisler told us: "My MA studies have been an exiciting and informative period in my life. The final research project itself took 1.5 years and I gained a lot of interesting experiences during that time. I had the chance to meet many experts in the field of sound engineering from Austria. I've been supported not only by sound engineers but also by SAE. The curriculum of the MA Programme provided me with the scientific background that was needed to develop the sound system.
Thanks to the numerous connections that I established during my master studies, I got several job offers from different theatres in Vienna as soon as I had completed my research project. Anyway, I did not take these opportunities because I realised at the end of my studies that I wanted to establish my own recording studio instead.
Since finishing the MA I've been working in my own studio Green Island Studio and I still benefit from the network I "tapped into" during my time at the theatre.
SAEOnLine currently offers a suite of 4 week short short courses in various subjects ranging from animation, audio, games, creative media and film, which are perfectly suited to students looking to tightly focus on particular niche areas. The short courses are proving popular with amateurs and professionals alike who are unable to commit to a campus college due to work or geography.
