
CMP401 - Program Planning
Aims
This module concentrates on planning and procedural frameworks for the program. Students are introduced to the attitudes of reflection and critical self-awareness that are central to postgraduate study within an ethos of work-based learning / professional practice. Procedural aspects relate to the preparation of:
- a claim for recognition and accreditation of learning (CMP403) and,
- a Learning Agreement that forms the basis for the Professional Development Program (CMP401) and Project(s) (CMP42*/44*/46*) that form the remainder of the Program.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module students will:
- be familiar with the principles of work based learning and professional practice;
- have a self-critical understanding of their own professional capabilities;
- be aware of their needs for continuing professional development, and
- have developed a personal plan to address those needs.
Syllabus
- project design/management approaches relevant to professional practice in creative media
and multimedia; - consideration of the viability of presenting a claim for recognition and accreditation of learning;
- preparation of a claim for recognition and accreditation of learning (if appropriate);
- program planning leading to preparation and submission of a learning agreement covering personal and professional development requirements.
