MPP405 - Project

Aims

The rationale, aims and objectives of project work are drawn up by students in their Learning Agreements. It follows that each project will have some unique features in its aims alongside the generic aims. Projects constitute an important developmental focus and activity in the programme and in many cases are triangulated between the programme requirements and the needs of both student and employer. In addition to completing the project itself, students are required to write a reflective and self-critical report and to give an oral presentation; in these ways a number of high level transferable skills are developed. A fundamental dimension of project work in the Programme is that in addition to the personal development benefit there should be some demonstrable relevance to professional practice in the Creative Media that is worthy of dissemination.
